How do I order my Certificate of Eligibility in Omaha, Nebraska
You can request that whoever you choose to help you with your VA Home Loan personally order it.
The veteran has the option to personally complete a VA Form 26-1880. This is a military service person's personal request for a COE. This will prove their VA home loan benefits eligibility. The application must be both dated and signed.
Attach a copy of DD214, Certificate of Separation from active duty. Active duty personnel will need to finish a statement of service letter issued by, or by direction of, the adjutant, personnel officer or commander in place of the DD214.
What Do I Need to be eligible for my VA Home Loan COE
- Served 90 consecutive days during wartime
- Served 181 days during peacetime
- Served more than 6 years in the National Guard or the Reserves
If you meet one of the criteria above you may be able to obtain your Certificate of Eligibility to prove your veteran status. In addition to these standards, spouses of veterans may be able to qualify for a VA home loan if their spouse was an active-duty service member killed in the line of duty or if their spouse passed away due to service related disability.
